The developers - Pfizer and BioNTech - described it as a "great day for science and humanity". Their vaccine has been tested on 43,500 people in six countries and no safety concerns have been raised. The companies plan to apply for emergency approval to use the vaccine by the end of the month. No vaccine has gone from the drawing board to being proven highly effective in such a short period of time. There are still huge challenges ahead, but the announcement has been warmly welcomed with scientists describing themselves smiling "ear to ear" and some suggesting life could be back to normal by spring.  Landlords have filed thousands of eviction actions in the past few weeks despite the Trump administration's eviction moratorium in early September, according to a report released Monday. From early September to Oct. 17, almost 10,000 eviction actions have been filed in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas by large corporate landlords, according to an NBC News report . The evictions database was collected by the Private Equity Stakeholder Project, a nonprofit organization that looks at the influence of private equity on communities. The eviction actions have occurred even though the Trump administration announcing the eviction moratorium on Sept. 1 using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention quarantine authority.   We will be the first to admit that we did not expect for there to be a Christmas episode during NCIS: Los Angeles season 12, with there being one major reason for it. When you think about the global health crisis, our assumption was that it was going to be really hard to time out when specific episodes would air. That would mean that episodes would be written with a greater degree of flexibility — in turn, they’d be less seasonal. The former Los Blancos forward posted a picture of himself on social media after the 3-1 result was confirmed at the Camp Nou. "Yesssss," Cristiano wrote as the caption, alongside a muscle emoji. The Portuguese international is currently in self-isolation as he waits for a negative coronavirus test.
