The series follows a team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service who investigate crimes involving the U.S Navy and the Marine Corps.

What will happen in NCIS season 16, episode 4?
Episode four of NCIS season 16 is called Third Wheel.
The previous three episodes were called: Destiny’s Child, Love Thy Neighbour and Boom.
CBS has released an official synopsis for episode four.
It reads: “Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) quiet vacation at his remote cabin is interrupted by a surprise visit from Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano) and Navy Captain Phillip Brooks (Don Lake), as well as a call from NCIS asking for his help locating a robber hiding in the woods near him, on NCIS

CBS has released two sneak peek trailers and one short preview clip for episode four.
Combined, the trailers confirm that season four will be super intense.
The first trailer shows Gibb taking a vacation after eight weeks of filling in as the director which seems to dramatically come to an end after a dead body is discovered near his log cabin.
The 20-second trailer ends with Gibb pulling out a gun and pointing it at an anonymous figure saying: “no one else needs to die.”
HOW MANY EPISODES ARE IN NCIS SEASON 16?
A second trailer shows the NCIS team before the murder and robbery is discovered, doing no work in the office.
The staff are playing video games. doing crosswords and listening to music.
Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) says in reference to Gibb’s holiday: “The man needs a break. Actually, I think he should do it more often.”
Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Harland Murray) then gets a phone call, changing the mood of the office entirely.
He said: “Dance party is over. There's been a robbery.”
WHO WAS REEVES ON NCIS?
Somebody has stolen a $350,000 from an armoured truck and fled onto a naval air station. However, the culprit has not been found.
It is thought they may be on board a Navy aircraft.
The trailer ends with Tim saying: “Well at least Gibbs can still enjoy his break.”
However, the other trailers reveal that Gibb’s quiet vacation will come to one and after the team ask for his help to catch the robber.
