NCIS season 18: Cast, air date, episodes, spoilers and everything you need to know

NCIS SEASON 18: All you need to know, from cast to air date and what to expect!

NCIS has dethroned many shows throughout the years not only in popularity but also with views and longevity; It is actually the second-longest-running drama on TV, right behind Law &Order: Special Victims Unit, and is also considered the most addictive detective show which attracts millions of views continuously. Knowing this, it is obvious why CBS keeps on renewing the show and keeps on making spin-offs.
The pandemic really changed everything around us and influenced every aspect of life; many businesses were temporarily shut and this affected the TV industry as well. With some shows getting postponed, others canceled, you may wonder, what is the destiny for season 18 of NCIS?

Will NCIS return?

Don’t worry, NCIS is going strong and will return for season 18 for sure! (That is if another cataclysmic event doesn’t decide to step out and challenge us!) The show will return on CBS; NCIS had faced major delays in production and in getting on the screens because of the pandemic, like most of the TV shows. However, they did make it into production, and season 18 began airing in November 2020. This is of course in America; however, if you are from the UK, you can find NCIS on Fox UK which will start airing it on January 22nd, 2021.

Which cast members will return?
There are always rumors about which cast members may or may not return; NCIS had said goodbye to a ton of their cast members, from Pauley Perrette to Michael Weatherly, so it is only normal for fans to be on the lookout. We got scared when the rumor about Mark Harmon leaving took over, but don’t worry guys, our favorite, good, old Agent Gibbs is returning in season 18! So is the rest of the cast, including Sean Murray, David McCallum, Wilmer Valderrama, Emily Wickersham, and others.

What to expect?
New intriguing crimes, and an emotional rollercoaster! Yes, you read that well. If we are to judge by previous seasons and from the few first episodes we had already seen, we can freely say, without any exaggeration that we are in for a treat! The show is approaching its 400th episode and we all know what that means – a trip back down memory lane! The cast is also hyping it up big time, and from the initial teasers we got to see, this will be a return to young Gibbs and Ducky! We were supposed to get this episode back in spring last year, but Covid-19 got it postponed and we didn’t get to see it. Plot-wise, we should expect to see a heart-breaking goodbye from Jack Sloane, with her story getting wrapped up right from the start; moreover, the series will not be addressing the coronavirus pandemic, and the plot will pick up and continue from where it left off last season. It sounds like this will be one of the best seasons so far because it sure will be challenging and intriguing in every aspect!
Are you guys ready?
