‘NCIS’ Fans Are Gutted Over Emily Wickersham’s Heartbreaking Instagram About Ellie Bishop

The rumors are true: Actress Emily Wickersham, who plays Ellie Bishop, is leaving NCIS after eight seasons.

While watching the NCIS season 18 finale last night, many viewers figured out that Ellie purposely outed herself as being behind an NSA leak. That said, they didn’t realize that her new label as a “disgraced NCIS agent” was strategically planned to allow her to go on an undercover operation with Odette (Elayn J. Taylor). Before leaving the Washington D.C.-based team though, she shared a much-awaited kiss with Nick (Wilmer Valderrama).

Though many believed this wouldn’t be the last time we’d see Ellie, reality set in when Emily officially announced on Instagram that she was departing the NCIS cast for good.

“Hangin this hat and jacket up. What a great ride it’s been,” she wrote on Instagram. “This cast, this crew, are top notch. I can’t say enough kind words about this group that I’ve had the pleasure of working with for close to 8 years now and 172 episodes later.”

She continued: “This business is finicky and weird and consistency is a rarity. I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of a show where I got to show up and act and laugh and learn with wonderful people. A moment in time I surely won’t forget. Thank you CBS and NCIS for including me in a part of television history. Time goes fast. Eat it up but chew slowly..”

Emily’s Instagram post comes after fans watched a promo video last week of the NCIS season 18 finale, which hinted at the possibility of her departure. Still, even with this hunch, longtime supporters weren’t prepared for the farewell. Thousands of fans took to the Instagram comments section to share that they weren’t taking Emily’s exit very well.

“Don’t mind me while I cry myself to sleep,” one person wrote. “IM CRYING NOOO,” another added. “Omg no!!!  you were my favorite character ,” a different fan said. “My heart hurts ,” a follower commented.

Many also took this opportunity to thank Emily for being an important part of the show for nearly a decade. “Thank you for everything, Emily. We’ll miss you so much ,” someone said. “  Crying but grateful for this ride as well. Thank you for bringing Ellie Bishop to life. Casting could not have done better. You’ll always have a home in the hearts of your fans.,” another wrote.

What’s more, former NCIS cast member Maria Bello also left sweet words: “Love You Em! .” Meanwhile, NCIS newcomer Katrina Law added: “.”

Although there won’t be anyone quite like Ellie on the show again, we can’t wait to see what Emily does next in her acting career.

Tom Selleck is tortured daily because of his long-term disease, his friends say

If rumors are to be believed, fans of the 'man behind the mustache' might have considerable cause for alarm over the actor's health. Several articles have recently made the rounds, all with the same premise: Hollywood heartthrob, Tom Selleck is facing rapidly declining health as he suffers from a debilitating bout of arthritis. One such source to lay claim to Selleck's failing health is Ghanamma.com, whose information is supported by The Nation, an online newspaper. Both sources state that Selleck's arthritis is becoming increasingly painful and hindering, to the point where he can no longer do his own stunts. More than that, however, the publications reported that Selleck uses a stunt double not only for demanding, challenging scenes, but also for the more trivial, mundane tasks, such as simply climbing out of his police vehicle on set while filming Blue Bloods. Some days are worse than others for the former action star, unnamed sources said, claiming tha...

Dogecoin surges 30% to a record above 50 cents as speculative crypto trading continues

Dogecoin , the cryptocurrency based off a viral dog meme from nearly a decade ago, surged 30% on Tuesday to set a new record high at more than 50 cents per coin. The cryptocurrency was trading at about 54 cents, according to data from Coin Metrics. Dogecoin rose to roughly 40 cents per coin last month before falling sharply for several days after the calendar turned to April 20, a date widely celebrated as a marijuana-themed holiday. Dogecoin was started as a joke in 2013 amid a boom in early cryptocurrencies. It was based on a popular internet meme at the time that featured a Shiba Inu dog and cartoon-style text over the image. Its rise in recent months has been highlighted by many as a sign of froth and speculation in the financial markets, particularly among younger investors who started trading during the pandemic. The coin has been boosted in recent weeks by billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Cuban , who have both mentioned Dogecoin on Twitter multiple times. Cuba...
